Howdy new friends!

Hi,
You can call me J.
I've been married to M for 12 years. We've worked hard at this relationship and I absolutely adore her.

It's been tossed around here and there over the years but we've just recently decided to formally open our relationship. For a lot of reasons it just seems like the time was right and it was the next step that we needed to take to keep growing, both together and as individuals.

We live right in the heart of the "American Redoubt" - if you don't know what that is, google it and you'll see how it can present some unique challenges to those seeking to live "alternative" lifestyles. There aren't a whole lot of people around to begin with, let alone people we can lean on to help navigate our chosen path.

I have also been working from home exclusively for the past several years so I don't have much chance to get out and socialize anyway.

I'm joining up here in the hopes of having some contact with like-minded folks, having a space to explore all of the unique challenges that go with this lifestyle and maybe getting advice from some of the veterans along the way.

Thanks for sharing this adventure with me!

Greetings J,
Welcome to our forum. Please feel free to lurk, browse, etc.

You'll certainly find like-minded people here who can provide you with advice when you need it, support when you need that, or even just friendly interaction. Let us know what you need, we'll be there.

A quick look at the map of the American Redoubt indicates to me that you live in some rugged, scenic country, or not far from it. Of that part I'm jealous, but I see what you mean about not many people being around, especially poly people.

I wouldn't fit in with the Redoubt at all. I'm atheist.
Sincerely,
Kevin T., "official greeter" :)

There's a *lot* of good info in Golden Nuggets. Have a look!
