I am back!

I was on this board a few years back but I forgot my old login. My wife and I attempted to open our relationship but it just failed miserably due to lack of planning, dishonesty, NRE and open dialog. It took about six months to recover but we became stable and loving again. We discussed an open relationship for the next two years but knew we were not ready yet. Well, we are open now and having fun now. We are currently just dating other people. We do not have any interest in dating the same person so we form relationships separately. In the long run, it is possible that we would form a bond with someone and they would become a permanent part of our lives but that hasn't happened yet.

Thank goodness for Netflix. That is a great way to pass time when the gal is out on a first date. I just get the nervous gitters wondering if she is okay. Some guys are jerks.

Welcome back! I am so glad that you posted the reality of what happened. Not to say that anyone else will need the same time frame, but all too often we see major disasters happen as a result of people not giving enough forethought to opening their marriage or relationship.

Glad you are in a better, more comfortable place in your relationship and with poly.
