My husband, Scott and I have been involved in several poly relationships during our 9 years together. Mostly, they have been a disaster. One of them almost caused us to get a divorce. We both agree that we want a closed triad. We have had 3 triads with women and one with a man. The longest one lasted 2 years. That break-up was really hard on both of us. Shortly after, hubby had an affair because he was so desperate to have a girlfriend again that he decided to go behind my back with a married woman (I hated her from the start). That was devastating and almost broke us up. However, this past year, it has been just the two of us. Hubby started some ADD meds and it made a world of difference. We have actually been really happy the past year and healed our relationship.
I had written off the possibility of every trying out a poly relationship again. Then we met Irina. The moment I met her, I fell in love. She is beautiful, smart, fun, sweet, and just a completely awesome person. She is from the Ukraine and has only been here a year. She and I became instant best friends. My husband connected to her much more slowly. At first, it was just sex, but after a few weeks, they fell in love with each other. I knew it was right because I felt no jealousy at all when Scott told me that they said 'I love you' to each other for the first time. I felt blissfully happy.
