Hello everyone, I'm Sudo!

I am not new to polyamory just new here.

I am a straight male in the UK & 30 years young, married with no kids (at time of writing)
My wife and I are both Poly, she has a boyfriend who she sees completely separate to me. Currently I am not seeing anyone other than my wife.

Here's a brief summary of me. I'm a geek and a gamer, a reader and a writer I am addicted to podcasts and have a little love affair with Netflix. I've a good sense of humour and believe sarcasm is life. I also collect pen-pals.

I'm here hoping to make new friends and maybe more than that. So if you think we'd get along I hope you get in touch with me, send me a message :)

Looking forward to getting to know you all :)

Greetings Sudo,
Welcome to our forum. Please feel free to lurk, browse, etc.

Can I ask, how long have you and your wife been poly? and, how long have you been married? I don't mean to pry, I am just curious. It's great to have you with us, I believe your chances are good of making new friends here. Please don't hesitate to post your thoughts, questions, concerns.

Sincerely,
Kevin T., "official greeter" :)

Hey thanks for the welcome!

To answer your questions @kdt: my now wife introduced me to the idea of poly about 3 years ago and we are coming up on a year of marriage.

I don't have any concerns I'm completely happy with the life style. If anything I'm a little jealous / frustrated, not of my wife's other relationship but of the fact that it has been easy for her to find someone. Where as for me it has been a struggle to find any women who is open to the idea and not judgemental. Especially where I live. It is a small island community. Everyone knows everyone and those who are not understanding / accepting love to gossip.

I have tried ldr but the relationships I have tried ldr just didn't work out. Mutually agreed that they weren't working and went separate ways + one cat fish which isn't fun....

So yeah that's where I'm at. Nice to find a forum full of like minded people.

I have to sympathize; it is very often the case that poly/married men have a much harder go of it than poly/married women. Plus I myself had bad luck when I tried OKCupid. So I know, I've had personal experience. Hopefully you'll have better luck than I did. You'll definitely find many like-minded people here.

Indeed, I've also tried OkCupid and PlentyOfFish with very poor results Tinder is alright there seems to be more people using tinder that are open to the idea (accepting) just no interest in being a part of it.

But it's all good, I'll find the right person eventually :)

Patience is the key, ;)

Hi Sudo!

I'm glad to hear polyamory is working out for you despite the challenge of finding someone for you as well. Hang in there, these things can be tricky, and like Kevin said, patience is key.

What games do you play currently? :) And what are your all-time favourites?

Hey endusal! Thanks for the encouragement. I have been and can continue to be patient :)

Currently I'm playing Speed runners a bunch and Mad Max I'm also trying to get through resident evil 7. I play all sorts though. What about you? Playing anything good atm?

Ah, haven't played any of these. :)

I actually don't have as much time as I used to for games. In 2017 I played Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice – which I found wonderful, moving and harrowing,– Torment: Tides of Numenera, and replayed The Witcher 3.

In short I keep an eye out for good titles in the fantasy / sci-fi genre. Some of my favourites are from series like The Elder Scrolls, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Starcraft, etc. Just now I don't have anything coming up that I'm really looking forward to, however.

I keep meaning to play hellblade I've been told it's very good, but I have never gotten around to it. Seems like we have similar taste in games though. Fantasy and sci-fi rpgs are some of my favourite. You play on XboxOne? If so what's is your gamer tag?

I just started a game called observer which from the trailer at least seems really interesting. Sci-fi Thriller. I get a very Bladerunner/Altered Carbon vibe from it. So far tho I have only played the first 2min sooo reserving the right to change my mind!

I fully recommend Hellblade. It's somewhat short (25h or so?) but well worth it.

I play on PC, so I only have a Steam account. :)

That's unfortunate, the only things I really play on Pc are MMOs (Eve, Wow).

I will get hellblade and after I get done with it we can discuss if you'd like :)
