Hello!
I don't quite know where to begin, so I'll just chatter on about myself, goals and other such things! I am hoping to meet other poly family oriented people and am excited to have found a place to come and talk about the poly world, shenanigans or otherwise :D

My partners I will call Snarky:married to for 9 years now and still going strong! and Sunshine: my best friend of 2 years who I've had a giant crush on, she's been a huge support throughout the hard times. Love her to bits! So having come open about how we all felt about each other, we have started our journey along the poly world. Snarky and I have a young child and are in the process of creating more :p and our concept of poly is more of a Family type. You see, Sunshine is a big important person in my life and she has a lot of fun and is there for my little one along side me in the most supportive way you can imagine! We see each other as equals rather than 'primary' or secondary; I understand there are dynamics and different types of the poly community, so i'm hoping to find those who are also in a 'Family' type who are farther along in experience or just as new to this big step in their lives as we are.

We are adamant about communicating with one another, and have had some bumps with Jealousy, quality time or other upsets and sometimes space is needed. However the more I read in the forums the more I realize that these are only small things and so far no 'red flags' have come up. I know it is new and we are likely in the 'Honeymoon' phase of everything, but we still want to press on and do our best.

It's so lovely to be here and I am looking forward to making new, likeminded friends of various kinds :D

Greetings Amethystsparrow,
Welcome to our forum. Please feel free to lurk, browse, etc.

I had a look at your other thread and posted there. You have the right idea when it comes to communication. Always talk things out, don't let them fester.

Glad to have you with us.
Sincerely,
Kevin T., "official greeter" :)
