New to Poly

Nova

New member
Hello,
I have many nick names and such but I usually go by Nova when out and about. I have one kid biologically and now 3 additional ones through my poly partner. This relationship is a bit of a new experience for the 3 of us. Currently were still in the transition stages, things can be difficult at times with all of us working a full/part time job. I love both my partners dearly and have known them both for a long period of time. I have a 6 year old, a 5 year old, a 3 year old, and last but certainly not least a 6 month old baby girl who was the catalyst for this entire situation. (outside of our own personal desires.)

Out side of my relationship, I am a 25 year old who values a good book, tv show, or game. Also I am preparing to go back to school to get a degree in education as it were. Here to meet and greet others like myself, at first we felt kind of alone in this big bad world of "normal" but quickly I am discovering the "abnormal" are the majority and were taking over baby!!!! Drop me a line and say hi!

Greetings Nova,
Welcome to our forum. Please feel free to lurk, browse, etc.

Wow, you definitely have enough wee ones to keep you more than a wee bit busy. :) So am I getting this right, you are still with the mother of your one child, plus a poly partner has joined you and she (he?) has the other three kids? Do you all live together in the same house? Closeby? Sorry for the battery of questions, I'm just a curious man.

I myself am in a three-person poly unit (MFM) and have been for over eight years. We are allergic to kids (ahem) and both of the guys are "fixed." We do have a spoiled cat-and-dog duo in our house. They're both rascals.

I hope you'll enjoy your time on Polyamory.com, it is such a big site and there is so much you can learn here (plus people will come to you for help). Check out our various threads and boards and don't be too shy about posting with thoughts, questions, concerns, what have you.

Glad to have you amongst us.
Sincerely,
Kevin T., "official greeter" :)

Notes:

There's a *lot* of good info in Golden Nuggets. Have a look!

Please read through the guidelines if you haven't already.

Note: You needn't read every reply to your posts, especially if someone posts in a disagreeable way. Given the size and scope of the site it's hard not to run into the occasional disagreeable person. Please contact the mods if you do (or if you see any spam), and you can block the person if you want.

If you have any questions about the board itself, please private-message a mod and they'll do their best to help.

Welcome aboard!

Well I am with the eldest child's mother. Still yes, she recently joined the boards as well. Additionally our poly partner is another female, she has the three children but they have lost their respective fathers off the most part. We're still in the early stages so we maintain separate residence. However, the majority of time is spent under one rough including more or less staying over most nights. We live close by otherwise about 15 minutes. Thanks for the welcome and all the extra info!

No problem, I have a little treasure chest of information and am always happy to share. :) It's nice to "meet" you guys (I know it's just on the web), it sounds like you have a wonderful poly group and will do well together.
