New

Hi. I am married to Gar86 (still trying to figure out how to do this whole thing) and have been in a mono relationship with him since 14. We have been married for almost 10 years. This is very new to us and we have a lot to learn but am hopeful on this being a great source of knowledge and friendship.

hello :)

Hi There,

I'm in a similar position as you are. I'm new to poly and have been in a mono relationship with my partner for 8 years. I wasn't even aware of polyamory until the beginning of this year when I fell in love with a girl who became my girlfriend and due to confusing feelings I turned to google.

Just thought I'd drop a line and say hi :)

Thanks so much for the kind words. It is definitely... a learning curve. I am doing my best to read read read. Not that this always works for hands on knowledge but this is not as easy as things just falling into place as I had hoped. Wishful thinking ;)

And good luck in your adventure into this lifestyle as well. I would love to know how things are going there as well!! It can be overwhelming at times. I dont have family or friends that would support this as of now so that outlet is ruled out :-/ Its hard to know where to even begin but we are getting there.

Greetings alisvolatpropriis (and Gar86),
Welcome to our forum. Please feel free to lurk, browse, etc.

Polyamory can seem overwhelming, but if you just do it a little at a time, and do lots of reading (and posting!) along the way, you will gradually get your sea legs. I hope Polyamory.com will prove useful to you in helping you find your way. Remember, new poly success stories emerge every day ... so it can be done!

Sincerely,
Kevin T., "official greeter" :)
