Dinged, I've recently been reading many old threads from back in the beginning of this board. I didn't join here until it had been going for a year or so. I didn't participate all that much when I first joined, as I was in NRE with two of my dating partners, and also dating others, a very busy newly-poly person, quite "popular" on OKCupid.Looking back, I’m surprised neither of us participated in this thread. I guess my question is: was he dating up, or was she dating down to round out her portfolio?

As for your question, from reading more of Vexxed's posts, I can't tell why this woman was dating him. He says she's into him because he has a nice body, a cool "accent," and they share a love of riding bicycles.
He and she go to an irl poly group, and apparently the women there fall all over him, but he disdains all of them, except this one woman. I'm not done reading his posts, though, so I will see what happens.
