Joined a while back, then drifted away because my head was in a bad place, so decided to reintroduce myself!
I'm Doug, I'm married, and ideologically Poly.

I realised I was Poly about nine years ago, after reading an article on it, but then took ages to talk about it with I (my wife) and even longerer to actually sort my head out enough for things not to go all fuckup whenever I tried to open my mouth about it. Tl;dr is that I went through a really bad patch, made some bad decisions, and completely alienated my closest friend.
Now I am in a good place. I am still not actually Poly, but my marriage is stronger than ever, and I have an awesome friendship with an awesome woman which we're not ruling out as potentially fluid in the future. I'm trying to be more active with online dating but contact from other people appears to be something of an anxiety trigger, but one I will overcome!
As for non-relationship stuff, I am an HR administrator by day and a geeky musician by night. I wear flares and have long hair and listen to doom, hard rock and old school metal (plus bits of black metal, grindcore, crust punk...). I love RPGs and LARP. I love to read and while only WINTER IS TRVE, reading outside in the sunshine is rather special.
