She Blinded Me With Science

"She Blinded Me With Science" is (was?) a mediocre pop song from Thomas Dolby, which is memorable for the same reason we remember certain tv ads from twenty or forty years ago. The song sounded much like an avertisement jingle, actually.

I thought that title was slightly more interesting than simply "Science". So that's my excuse. Nothing more.

This thread is for posting stuff about science, perhaps especially stuff which raises questions about the authority "science" has these days. (Hint: Not all supposed science is all it is cracked up to be.)

That was why I liked that article enough to post it here. I like science. A lot. It sure beats religion, myth and superstition as a guide to reality. Problem is, science is often corrupted by people with a lot of money and... an agenda. (Usually to make even more money.)

Money is the only substance on Earth which bends light with such force. Yes, water and glass will also bend light. But not nearly so much as money does.
