Hi All - We are a m/f couple. We are retired university professors whose children are launched in life. We are interested in writing, literature, graphic art, and music, but we also have dirt under our fingernails and callouses on our hands.We live in a remote, scenic area in Eastern WA where we operate a vineyard and boutique winery. We pursue self-sufficiency. Many times we sit down to a meal in which we hunted, raised or gathered everything we eat and drink. We have accumulated many of the tools of self-sufficiency - welding and blacksmithing, metal and wood fabrication, construction, car/truck/tractor upkeep. We'd like to have more friends, and more-than-friends, in our life.

I am glad you are here, I think you can make new friends here, just look around and post when you feel so inspired. I think it's awesome that you're largely self-sufficient, others can probably learn from you. Thanks for your intro!
