Waving Hello

I'm azorkanesbrat. Living in northern BC, in a long term committed relationship. The expectation (on both sides) is that we will get married in the relatively near future.

We have (together) 7 kids - 5 still living at home. I am the primary caregiver for them all mostly due to my experience and patience level. His 3 have been living with us full time since Dec 2013 and it's unlikely their mom will ever regain custody.

Azorkane has started recently dating Amber - she's a lovely woman who I enjoy spending time with. She's much younger than both of us, but fairly mature.

I don't have a lot of time for dating - 5 kids and a full time job keep me busy - but we're open to whatever comes along.

I've been on this site before - not when I was with Azorkane - and my then husband had a relationship that fell apart with a lot of misunderstandings and false accusations. I choose to have a new handle because the history I have with my then husband is important to me - but has nothing to do with Azorkane.

Greetings azorkanesbrat,

It seems to me that you are building a new poly life, and a change in usernames is fitting. Heck, I even changed my legal f'real name about 12 years ago. I needed to clearly define the difference between who I'd been and who I hoped to become.

I hope your continued participation on Polyamory.com is pleasant and brings you many rewards. I'll be following at least a couple of your threads should you want to ping me for any reason.

Pleased to make your acquaintance.
Sincerely,
Kevin T.

Thanks Kevin.

I appreciate it. I'm good friends with a couple of the long time members of the site... I haven't yet told them about my username change - but I think they'll figure it out LOL

I'm hoping that the lessons learned before will make for a smoother situation this time.

Everyone seems totally on board with lots of communication and lots of understanding :)

That sounds like a good setup to me.
