Hello there everybody. I'm sort of new, sort of not to poly. I've mainly come here for some advice, but this is not the place for it obviously, so here's more about me...

I've dabbled in poly a bit, and got with my current partner with poly as sort of an open option since he's done a little bit before as well. Our experiences were a bit different, so trying to find a way to make poly work with us is going to be a bit challenging since we have different ideas. Enough about that though.

I'm from the pacific northwest, born and raised in Oregon, lived in Washington last year, and have settled in Montana with my partner. I like travel, lots of geeky things and am currently in school for pre-nursing.

Hi there!

Lovely country up there in the Pacific Northwest. I lived in Olympia for about 4 years. I miss it sometimes, it's so pretty with the big mountains and big trees and everything. I even watched a few minutes of Twilight once just because I was being nostalgic over the greenery and gloom of the setting...but then I got bored with the vampires playing baseball or whatever that was about and switched channels....

So you're from Oregon originally? Ever hear of March Fourth Marching Band? I'm a big fan.

Greetings Zephyra,
Welcome to our forum. Please feel free to lurk, browse, etc.

I read through your other thread, and responded there briefly. It sounds like things are improving, but you're not quite out of the woods. I hope we can be of help to you.

Sincerely,
Kevin T., "official greeter" :)

Notes:

There's a *lot* of good info in Golden Nuggets. Have a look!

Please contact the mods if you do (or if you see any spam), and you can block the person if you want.

If you have any questions about the board itself, please private-message a mod and they'll do their best to help.

Welcome aboard!

I don't miss Washington, just wasn't my style. Too crowded, too rainy, not my type of people where I was living (Spanaway, which is basically part of Tacoma). I've found Montana more agreeable, like a second home to Oregon :)

Naw, never heard of the March Forth Marching Band. Oregon has so many niche things, especially in the Portland area. I miss the uniqueness of the state at times, lol.

Thanks for the welcome wagon and useful info :)

Yeah, poly is saturated with different ideas, approaches and applications that it just takes too much time to pay attention to every single person... just pick out the most relevant and reasonable responses to your topic, and go from there. I used to be a forum admin long ago on a teen help site, so I know how vastly different ideas can collide on certain topics.

The boyfriend and I have hammered out a lot of things indeed and some good progress is being made. Some of the folks here were helpful in points to bring up with him, which helped with some of the clarification that I needed, so I've already found it a good idea asking for some insight :)
