Astrology

When the Moon is in Cancer or its effects cannot be stopped. When the Moon is in Cancer or when the Sun visits the zodiac sign Cancer, follow its effects. The effects of the Moon affect water. Rivers and canals flood, ponds and water channels dry up and there is a shortage of water. Similarly, observe the effects of other planets, then you can become an experimenter.

Am an Aqua, Cap and Scorpio dominant, with some Leo and Cancer bits. My orbit is filled with Air, Water and Earth people, so not sure what to make of it.

I noticed I thrive during retrogrades.

When we have Zodiac Sun Sign then we must follow the Ascendent. We calculate Ascendent as First house of our Zodiac Circle. From Ascendent we count First to the 12th house of our Birth Chart. Most peoples count their Zodiac calculation from their Sun Sign in which Sign they were born.

Earth means soil, soil and water combination. Earth absorbs water. Leo is fire. Air ignites fire. Air and soil do not mix, and fire and soil do not mix, but air blows water away, i.e. absorbs it in the form of vapor. So you should stay away from the elements that are not compatible. But sometimes those elements that are not compatible merge in your respective houses. They harm you in different ways according to the laws of astrology. The first house of birth is called the Ascendant and the fourth house is called the square which we call the Descendant, so the fourth house and the seventh house should always be followed by the native. Whatever good or bad situations he faces.

My ex is a triple Libra, and oddly he bears no resemblance to any description I've ever read about Libra anywhere. Including that site you linked.

But there will always be bizarre outliers perhaps...?
Or it’s baloney :p

I think astrology appeals to the human brain’s inherent need to find patterns in everything. It’s useful shorthand for referring to certain archetypal personality types, but just like with every other taxonomical categorization system, breaks down when trying to define an individual.

I jumped to OP’s section on MY sign and found it to be based almost entirely on personal, anecdotal experience. And if we’re not even going to hit a “correlation does not equal causation” levels of critical thinking here, well

I’m a Libra, and am… *checks notes* “sour grapes” and supposed to go away. As a people. Who were born within a range of dates. In our entirety. But good luck to us?

I’m not sure I’ve ever been bigoted against that hard from a belief formed from a sample size of one before. I’m not even mad, I’m kind of impressed.

Yeah, I enjoy the space for self-reflection that come with astrology and other forms of non-specific spirituality like tarot cards and spiritual readings. But I also bristle at the unabashed snap judgements that too often come with them. It often feels like it's a fun light-hearted thing until it's not.

Hell, I was even surprised at OP's post. It starts fairly nuanced and self-aware, even acknowledging why someone might not like it. But their following judgements go full speed ahead. I guess as long as they're not in a position of power, their preconceptions are only hurting themselves. But I've heard of people not being hired for jobs due to their astrological sign. I wish it stayed at the area of "light-hearted activity".

I always discounted astrology, but my god does it describe me well. I've never been in a relationship with another sag though, probably a good thing though, I'm pretty sure we'd burn the house down with passion.

Just anecdotal, but in my tribe...

My bf Aries is a classic Aries. Fiery. "Ready. Shoot. Aim," is his motto. My younger daughter, also an Aries, is also impulsive.

As for the rest of us, I am a classic Leo. So is Pixi, as is her bf Malachi. My son is also quite Leonine.

My ex-husband is a Leo, but his fire was highly stunted by his conservative Christian upbringing, and it was a mess.

So many Leos! Crazy cats, man.
