I'm in a V...husband and boyfriend. Boyfriend just broke up with me because he wants me exclusively. I can't be with him exclusively and he can't accept that. He broke up with me tonight and my heart is shattered :( </3
 
Sorry to hear that you're going through a rough time. I don't have anything that I can say to magically make everything better. One of the things I've seen now in poly is that sometimes regardless of how we feel for another, the paths we need to take diverge from that of our partners. Cowgirls & Cowboys are certainly a severe if not uncommon case of this.
It doesn't make the process of breaking up any easier.

I was also in a V, and my bf broke up with me about a week ago.

and i live with him

he's now mono with the girl who was his secondary.

Some people just can't take it, some people are just not Poly. IT hurts like hell, but you will get through it and you will find someone who fits into your life in a more productive way.

Meanwhile, busy yourself, it doesnt matter with what, but get involved in something.
 
I feel for you. I had a break up recently also and it hurts. Really, sometimes there is just no working it out and we have to move on and see what new doors open. I know its all new, but new doors will come to light... at least that has been my experience.

Really sorry to hear about what you are going through. Just remember there are men like me and women like my wife out there who are genuinely looking for a long term committed MFM triad. It's a tough sell to a lot of men, but for some of us, its exactly what we are looking for because we know it will make us and the women we love happy. Take heart, dust yourself off, and get back in the game. There is another good man out there waiting for you. You will find him. :)
