Greetings!

I'm happy to have found this place. Polyamory is a very intriguing to me and I wish to explore more, learn much, and figure out if it's something I am (or am capable of, as it were). I'm married almost six years and have two children. My SO is very interested, as well. We have a lot of discussions about our curiosity, expressly share our fantasies and wonder aloud if it's something we wish to pursue. We both identify as flexible-straight.

I look forward to less lurking and more interacting. Thank you for having me.

Hello temperance,
Welcome to our forum.

One's lurking work is never done, :), considering how many threads there are here, that present you with a wealth of info about what poly is, how it works, and what doesn't work! Let us know of any questions you have, and we'll try to answer.

Glad to have you aboard!
Sincerely,
Kevin T.

Thanks for the welcome. I have been doing lots of lurking! There is a lot of good information available. I appreciate that. I also really dig the unicorns and metamours who have shared their perspective. A lot :)

let me add my welcome...

There are many forms of polyamory - I think that the sooner you can start narrowing down the type of polyamory that you prefer, the easier it's going to be for you, your partner, and other potential partners.

Such things as

  • Dating together vs. Dating separately
  • Closed group vs. open network
  • Females/males only vs any gender
  • Live-in possible vs distributed folks
There are others, but those are the ones that come to mind right away. If you don't know the answer yet, that's absolutely fine, and you certainly don't have to share it here if you don't want to. Just some things to think about. :)
