Curious / Thoughtful

Hi everyone,

I'm Kvp, and I'm here mainly to learn and understand different relationship dynamics from people with real-life experience.

I'm in a long-term relationship and have recently been doing a lot of self-reflection about attraction, intimacy, trust, and relationship structures outside traditional monogamy. At this stage, I'm not looking to rush into anything. I'm more interested in understanding the emotional, psychological, and practical realities of polyamory, ethical non-monogamy, and related relationship styles.

I've realized that some of my fantasies and curiosities have led me to question where fantasy ends and where genuine interest begins. Because of that, I'd like to learn from people who have actually lived these experiences—the successes, the challenges, the communication, and the lessons learned.

I value honesty, consent, trust, and open communication, and I'm approaching this with curiosity rather than certainty. I'm here to listen, ask questions, and learn from the community.

Looking forward to meeting people and hearing different perspectives.

Greetings kvp,
Welcome to our forum. Please feel free to lurk, browse, etc.

You are taking a good approach to poly, you are learning as much as you can about it before deciding whether to dive in. I have a blog (journal) that you are welcome to read, also let me know of specific questions that may arise for you. It is good to have you with us.

Sincerely,
Kevin T., "official greeter" :)

Notes:

There's a *lot* of good info in Golden Nuggets. Have a look!

Please read through the guidelines if you haven't already.

Note: You needn't read every reply to your posts, especially if someone posts in a disagreeable way. Given the size and scope of the site it's hard not to run into the occasional disagreeable person. Please contact the mods if you do (or if you see any spam), and you can block the person if you want.

If you have any questions about the board itself, please private-message a mod and they'll do their best to help.

Welcome aboard!

Hi Kevin,

Thank you for the warm welcome and for taking the time to reach out.

I'm definitely in the learning phase right now and trying to understand polyamory, ethical non-monogamy, and relationship dynamics before making any assumptions or decisions. I appreciate the advice and will take a look at your journal as well as the Golden Nuggets section.

It's good to know there are experienced people here who are willing to share their knowledge and perspectives. I'm sure I'll have questions as I continue reading and learning.

Thank you again for the welcome and guidance.

Best regards,
Kvp
