Exploring Poly in Colorado Springs

Hi,

My wife and I recently opened up our marriage and it's like a weight has been lifted from our marriage. There are some things I struggle with, but they are struggles common to those new to the lifestyle, from what I've read.

There is a great poly community here in Colorado Springs, which surprised me since this is a very conservative town. My wife is dating someone now and I'm happy to see her happy. I'm talking to a couple wonderful people and my wife and I have made some new friends which is great. I'm glad to have found this forum and hope to learn a lot from the members here!

Hi! I'm poly in the Springs, too.

And I've always felt that the conservative reputation of this place is vastly overstated. We have some really vocal ideological minorities, but it's more fair to say that most are libertarian-ish here. Like, they want to be left alone and leave everybody alone to do whatever, just don't ask 'em for taxes and stay off their lawns! At least that's my impression. *shrug*

I've found the BDSM/kink/poly scene here in the last year or so and wow, what fantastic people! It's been great.

I'm glad you found a local poly community, it helps to be able to talk to people in person. You'll probably find that Polyamory.com is a valuable resource too. There's so much to learn about polyamory, and much of it can be found in these threads and boards. Explore the site and see what calls to you, and you can field questions and concerns along the way.
