Hi everyone! :D

I'm new to the poly life as well as this site. My name is Sarah and I am married to J. My husband and I are in a relationship with another married couple. Or rather, I am with him and my husband is with her. She and I aren't romantically involved. We have been together for about 4 months. But have known each other for many, many years. It just seemed natural to progress our relationships. They moved in with us a few weeks ago and while it is taking some adjusting we are getting into a good groove.

I came here to find like minded people and get some advice on things. I cannot wait to dive in and learn more!

Welcome to the forums!

Sounds like you are off to a good start. We have had a number of folks join recently in various 4-person configs (N's, quads, etc.) so hopefully you will find information and conversations relevant to your situation.

You may also like to read some of the threads on "cohabitation" (you can do a tag search if you are interested) - which is one of my personal topics of interest.

Thank you! I don't really know how we would be configured. Would it be a quad or?

I'm definitely going to be doing some digging around here. No need to ask the same thing over and over.

Welcome to our forum.

I would think the word "quad" would work. It would be relatively unusual if each of the four people was romantically involved with the other three.

Anyway, I'm sure you will find more info as you look around. By the way, I lived in Michigan for about 20 years, so it is nice to see it's a small world.

I assumed it would be quad, I just wanted to make sure there wasn't some other term out there that I didn't know of. :)

Where at in Michigan did you live? Did you enjoy it here?

I lived in the Detroit metro area, such as Roseville, Mt Clemens, and Clinton Township. I appreciated the place, and sometimes I miss the days I spent there, but when it came my time to go I knew it was the right time.

It's possible I will move again sometime in the future. But the sunshine in New Mexico has been nice ... :)
 
I am sure the sun there is better. I can only assume that the weather is better overall. I am about 1.5 hours north of Detroit and lived in Southfield for about a year while going to school.
 
Re: the weather ... it's pretty sweet, milder Summers and Winters and a lot less humidity. Of course, for all that, one sacrifices the lush greenery one has in Michigan.

Re: Southfield ... many moons ago, I was an LDS missionary and was stationed in Southfield for a few months. So you and I have actually resided in the same city, by just a little overlap.

You must not be too far from Frankenmuth ... one of my favorite places. :)
