It sounds like it isn't about economic/social theory for you; rather, it's about how the idea of polyamory affects you personally. The bottom line is that you don't want polyamory tried in your home. You have a right to stick to that preference. I don't know how you and Lysander could work out your differences, but I know you're not under obligation to "see it his way." You're your own person and you see things in your own way. Which is perfectly okay.
