Is there such a thing as chat room?

I feel like I might be dating myself, but are there still things as chat rooms? I grew up with them in the 90s, and remember them being a safe place to drop in and see what folks were talking about. Might be a safe place I can meet some folks exploring polyamory or someone who can help me find my way?
 
The major one these days is Discord. I don't use it myself so don't know what there is in the way of polyamory discussions, but if you build it, they will come.
 
The old days of chat rooms is over. The best you can find is forums on specific topics. Maybe you can find something in discord or kik

There are no "official Polyamory.com chat rooms," however there may be some poly chat rooms out there, you'll just have to look. I'm not a big fan of chat rooms myself, but I have participated in a couple of them in the past.
