Hello, I'm a 34 year old mother of 3 in a poly family consisting of 4 adults and 5 children. My primary partner and I have been together for 16 years. Our other family members have been with us for around a year. It took a while to get to this point where we function as a family even if we are spread out a bit.

I think I joined this site because with the exception of a few friends none of my other friends and family understand my life decisions. It would be great to chat with people in similar situations. Plus I would love to hear about how other poly relationships differ from my own and how they deal with the hurdles life puts in the way.

I am an artist and artisan. I paint, draw, design jewelry, make chainmaille, sew, crochet and make all natural lotions, salves and other body products. So basically I create for a living.

I love music, nature, movies, D&D, goth, fantasy, sci-fi, playing pool, art and much more.

I look forward to getting to meet so awesome people.

I used to do D&D all the time ... back in the good old days ...

I think you'll find a lot of like-minded folks here, and have many interesting conversations with them. You might find the Life stories and blogs board particularly interesting, it really gets into the nuts and bolts of how various poly (or poly-friendly) people (or the monogamous people that love them) live their lives.

Glad you could join us, it sounds like you have an excellent poly family.

Hello and Welcome!

Sounds like you have a full and fulfilling life - lots of people and interests.

Everyone has their own version of poly - ours is more "family style" in that everyone knows and is at least friends with everyone else (no kids amongst our group, however). Others prefer a more compartmentalized arrangement. Whatever works.
