Never dreamed we would end up here in life!

Salutations to all,

Let me begin by saying that I am a budding novelist. My first work released March, 2014. Since then, the manuscripts have not stopped. One of my many current projects being a "coming out" story about a couple who lived very stifled sex lives in their first marriages. Yet when these childhood friends reunited after their divorces and married, things changed for the better. They share a love and trust between them that has allowed both to explore the sexual adventures that were once locked away for years as secret fantasies in their minds. Although I'm writing it as a fictional story, the basis and most events came from my own relationship with my wife.

Years ago, neither of us would have dreamed that someday we would become involved in a poly relationship with another male. I would say our arrangement is best described as an exclusive friend with benefits type of relation. We do not swing, but love having our exclusive male friend in the mix. We did not jump into a triad relationship from the beginning, but rather took many baby steps along the path to get there which was half of the fun, or a coming out process if you wish to say. What we have learned since then, three is even better than two in one's intimacy!

Greetings Novelist,
Welcome to our forum. Please feel free to lurk, browse, etc.

You are lucky to have such a great triad relationship, they don't all go so well! I'm sure your experiences will make for an interesting novel.

Glad you could join us, hope you enjoy participating in the various threads and boards that we have.

Sincerely,
Kevin T., "official greeter" :)

Welcome, Novelist!

The world needs more polyamorously themed books, songs, movies, TV shows. Care to share any excerpts from your new book in progress? :)

Interesting you ask if I have any excerpts to share Magdlyn. At the moment that book is still in rough draft and nearing the final draft stage before professional content editing and proofing, before going to publication.

As I have researched other books on polyamorous relationships, I've been somewhat disappointed that I've found very few that are not non fiction "How to" approaches to polyamory rather than just fun sexy stories about one's poly relationship. Like reading a fiction romance novel, but with a twist so to speak. If anyone knows of any titles with this approach, I'd certainly be interested in reading them.

What I believe will make this book an interesting read, especially for those like us that had never experienced sexual exhibition in front of others, and finally sex with another outside of the marriage relationship, is the fun stories along the path of getting where we are today. I believe there are many who would like to do some of the things we and other poly people have done, but just can't quite take those first baby steps. I hope our experiences written in a fictional format will in fact enlighten and educate those considering the move into a poly relationship as we once were before making the plunge.

Funny note: All three of us were virgins to a threesome type full sexual encounter, only having had sex with our spouses prior, or one person at a time that we were dating. He had recently divorced after a very long term marriage to his high school sweetheart, and has no desire to land himself into another committed marriage relationship. Yet like any man, he desires sex with a woman when the opportunity presents itself, but does not relish the idea of having multiple partners along the way. Our arrangement seems to fit both his and our needs well. The only commitment is exclusiveness with anyone stepping out of the circle sexually being required to let the other know, so a decision as to whether they continue to have sex (out of concern for STDs, etc) with him or her can be made.

That seems like a sensible approach.
