New to non-monogamy

Hi all,

So I'm in my 30s, married for 10 years now with kids. My wife and I have a deep love for each other and just recently we went to a new level. Today we are about to step through the door where she has permission to have an experience with another man and I joined to get some perspective as I realise I can't talk to anyone else in my circle about this as I don't feel comfortable doing so.

Anyway that's me. Looking forward to speaking more.

Greetings xzypher,
Welcome to our forum. Please feel free to lurk, browse, etc.

I looked at your other thread and responded there briefly. To summarize, you need to make the most of your me-time, don't use it agonizing about what you suppose your wife and the other man are getting up to. Anyway, I hope Polyamory.com serves you well, it will give you people to talk to who know about and appreciate polyamory. Good luck!

Sincerely,
Kevin T., "official greeter" :)

It sounds like you and your wife are exploring something new together, and it’s great that you have a strong foundation of love and trust in your relationship. It’s completely natural to have mixed emotions as you step into this new chapter, so be sure to communicate openly with each other about your feelings. Take things at your own pace, set clear boundaries, and keep checking in with each other to ensure you’re both comfortable. It’s okay to feel uncertain or need time to process, and reaching out for perspectives like this can be a helpful step. Best of luck as you navigate this experience together!
