New to Polyamory

Hi to all, I am James 55yrs old guy living in UK/Spain. I am engineering consultant now semi retired, I enjoy the outdoor life, walking cycling, communing with nature.

Been married a long time now no longer a physical relationship with my wife, but I have been in a loving relationship with another woman for 10 years. Our relationship (with my girlfriend) has reached the stage where we both feel it would be right to involve another man in a triad (hope I got the definitions right). Reasons for this are many and complicated, but the basic principle driver is my girl is tired of being alone for the majority of her time. I am committed to loving her and would welcome the chance to share her with a respectful committed loving gentleman.

We have had a number of swinging MFM experiences with a regular partner and have enjoyed it immensely. I guess, joining this forum is a way of getting these things out in the open initially for discussing with people who have a like minded way of thinking and perhaps may have had a similar experience. If we could find the ideal guy for us that would be a real bonus.

Initially would just be nice to have a discussion with someone, as all of my friends are quite "straight" and it's really not a subject I can talk about with anyone else in my life at present.

Hi James - welcome to the Forum! I've been here for several months now after my wife asked me to open our marriage to poly at the end of last year. There are a lot of very experienced poly folks here, and I have found most of them to be friendly and helpful - with lots of sound advice and solid info. I will leave the advice for them and wish you the best of luck on your continuing poly journey.
