One out of Three trying to learn more

Hey, so a little about me. I’m a 22 year old woman in a closed triad relationship with two other people (boyfriend and girlfriend, respectively). We’ve been together for a little over two months and a poly relationship is very new to all of us. Still, we care a lot about each other and want it to work (hopefully) long term.

I joined this forum because I’m new to the lifestyle and I want to learn more and hear about other’s experiences, and maybe occasionally ask for advice. This is actually the first serious relationship I’ve ever been in and due to my lack of experience, as well as being the youngest in the triad, I sometimes struggle to understand the ins and outs of everything. I am open to constructive criticism and I would like to learn as much as possible.

I look forward to talking to you all ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

Welcome. Were your new partners already an established couple when you took up with them?

If so, read around here and on the web on "couples privilege" to make sure you aren't being taken advantage of. Often the HBB (hot bi babe, that's you) Unicorn is treated unfairly in a triad with an established couple.

Greetings Clirkus,
Welcome to our forum. Please feel free to lurk, browse, etc.

You might be interested in Life stories and blogs, it contains a lot of our stories. My blog starts at http://www.polyamory.com/forum/showthread.php?p=257039 if you're interested. Also you can seek advice, visit the Poly Relationships Corner to do that.

There are many ways to do poly; the most important thing is that you are happy. That what you do works for you. If there's any area where you're not happy let us know and we'll try to help. In the meantime make yourself at home, and explore our many threads.

Sincerely,
Kevin T., "official greeter" :)

Notes:

There's a *lot* of good info in Golden Nuggets. Have a look!

Please read through the guidelines if you haven't already.

Note: You needn't read every reply to your posts, especially if someone posts in a disagreeable way. Given the size and scope of the site it's hard not to run into the occasional disagreeable person. Please contact the mods if you do (or if you see any spam), and you can block the person if you want.

If you have any questions about the board itself, please private-message a mod and they'll do their best to help.

Welcome aboard!

Actually we formed the relationship all together. I was close with both of them before they met and everything just kind of clicked when we were all together so we decided to make our relationship officially a triad.
