---------------------

Late last year, I posted a reasonably comprehensive list of books on CNM and polyamory that I had come across. Since then, I've come across several new poly books at book stores (primarily browsing the large Barnes & Noble near my home) which led me to also check Amazon for any additional titles. Altogether, I found another dozen or so - which I added to last year's list. I believe that almost all of these should be available - either in hard copy or ebook. (I've probably read 15 of them - mostly the more well known titles).

I also saw a few "poly fiction" titles - which I did not include. Someone else may want to suggest some of these titles.

Please feel free to add any other poly books to the list in the comments.

And the Heinlein addendum - which I posted previously:

Four of Robert Heinlein's novels have polyamorous elements to varying degrees.

Stranger in a Strange Land, winner of the Hugo award and named to the Library of Congress' list of the hundred novels that shaped America, featured a plural marriage in its story. The novel had a a profound impact on the 1960s counter culture in general, as well as on the the concept of consensual non-monogamy during that time period. In fact, it was Morning Glory Zell-Ravenheart, high priestess of the neo-pagan Church of All Worlds - an organization based on the fictional "church" of the same name in that novel - who invented the term "polyamorous", introducing the term in the May 1990 article "A Bouquet of Lovers", first published in the Green Egg, a neo-pagan journal affiliated with the Church of All Worlds.

The Moon is a Harsh Mistress, also a Hugo award winning novel, featured a "line marriage" in a fictional lunar society.

The novels Time Enough for Love and Friday both included group marriages in their stories.

Thanks for that update. It's cool and amazing how many books have been written on poly, and there seems to be an uptick on numbers of new books.

We can definitely see polyamory gradually moving more into the mainstream when we look at this collection of books - and hopefully as more than just "unicorn fantasy poly". Along those lines, two books really struck me as showing just how much poly is moving into the public awareness.
One was seeing "Polyamory for Dummies" at a Barnes & Noble - getting a "for dummies" book is definitely a sign of increasing awareness. :)

The other is the the "Polyamory Devotional" - definitely a sign of growing acceptance.

Love the appearance of the "for Dummies" book! :)

Yeah, browsing Barnes & Noble and seeing "Polyamory for Dummies" is definitely a sign that poly is becoming more mainstream - one of those new things that the average person is hearing about but perhaps doesn't really know what its about - like cryptocurrency or pickle ball. :)

While I would describe myself as "spiritual but not religious" with an interest in metaphysics and mysticism - I am really not one to use a daily devotional. The point is that that daily devotionals are so "every day" and "normal" - and now there's one for the poly community. :)

Never heard of pickle ball. Cryptocurrency I've heard of, though all I know about it is it's a tool for spammers and scammers.
