V, Not a Triad... Yet

I've been in a V for a few weeks, my boyfriend of a few years and then I got a girlfriend, making it a V. We're all really good friends and earlier today Potato came out as poly to me. He said he has a crush on Taco. Ten minutes later Taco texted me, telling me she has a crush on Potato. I'm watching them awkwardly flirt and wondering if I should be doing anything to turn this V into a triad. I would personally prefer a triad to a V, but I'm also wondering if anyone else's triads started like this.

And than there's Coconut, but that's a whole other story for a later date.
 
So, all of my poly experience has been strictly theoretical and hypothetical, so I have no advice for you, but what you have shared is both exciting and wondrous and I wish you luck!

What I can say is that I just had to look up who Daveed Diggs is and I was like "It's Perry!" (from Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt). He is very cute and -- I just learned -- Jewish! The two of you have my blessing. ;)
 
While this whole prospect of a triad can be very exciting for you, let Potato and Taco sort it out for themselves. This will set a good precedent for when bumps are encountered along the road. Don't act as a "go-between."

The most you can do is let them know you are fine with them having a relationship, then let it go from there.
 
I would let it happen organically. Triads are tricky and best if they are not forced. Let time just take its course and they will figure it out.

I don't think there's anything you should be doing to turn this V into a triad. If you did try anything, it would be just as likely to hurt your chances. Just let Taco and Potato figure it out between themselves. Offer support when asked, that's all. I hope you'll end up with an awesome triad. :D

This is similar to what I was thinking.
They already want a triad. They're feeling you out or something.
