I told BF for the first time that I love him... It went really well. Even though I was beyond nervous ( ok I half chickened out and I hid my face in the crook of his neck and told him lol.) but it was so sweet because he wiggled down and whispered "I love you too" in my ear. It was just one of those breath stealing moments that happen in life that leave you breathless and grinning like an idiot ;) I just needed to share with someone else who would understand where I'm at. So thanks everyone.
 
It's always exciting to say that for the first time!

The first time Hubby and I said "I love you" to each other was just over a month after we met. He said it first; it was my birthday, and he wanted to say it as a gift to me.

The first time I told Guy I loved him, he and I hadn't yet discussed where our relationship was, but I had just had the "I love both of you, can this work" conversation with Hubby. So telling Guy I loved him was my way of letting him know that we could move to the next level if he was willing. His first response, instead of saying I love you back, was, "Does [Hubby] know, and is he okay with this?"

That was on the phone, because it was almost two months after Guy left my area. We didn't get to say it in person until I went to visit him in April, and it meant even more saying it face to face.
 
Congratulations! It took me 18 months to tell MrS that I loved him. I halved the time with Dude...I wrote about it here.

For me, admitting "feelings" is a HUGE step...so kudos to you!

this is such a great moment! I wasn't able to breathe for a few seconds when my boyfriend told me the first time.......
 
My husband was asleep when he first told me. "I do, I love you," he said with his eyes closed, followed by, "God dammit." An hour or so later, after he'd woken up and we made love, I asked him, "So, were you awake when you said, I love you, or..." and he interrupted me with, "I SAID WHAT?!?" I burst into laughter, and he said, "God dammit!" "Yeah,"I said. "You said that too."
 
LOL.

"I love you, goddammit!" Now that's a novel approach.
 
And the really cute thing is, now all I have to do is say, "God dammit," at him in any situation, with the right look on my face, and he blushes BRIGHT pink. "Well, god dammit!" *pink!*

LOL love that! Plus I don't know if it's just me but getting one of my guys to blush is one of the best things EVER!
