Hello!

I am Christy, a 24 year old, mother of two, wife of 6 years, and polyamorist (is that even a word!) since I can remember. Hm, a bit about me... I'm not good at making friends online... who am I kidding. I'm not good at making friends. Period.

I have anxiety and depression. I am the strangest mix of innocent and crude. I enjoy Doctor Who, Grimm, Star Trek, yes, I am a sci-fi/fantasy nerd. I like gaming okay enough. Uh, I really hate intro posts. Oh oh oh and Panic at the Disco is life.

I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Christy

Gasp! A friend!! I am a bit of a fangirl when it comes to The Doctor and all things Doctor Who. I have a tea cup, a tea word-that-currently-escapes-me-but-you-put-loose-leaf-tea-in-it-before-you-steep-it, posters, jewelry, a butt load of DVDs/BluRays, um.... books. Yea... I should be embarrassed. But I am totally not!

Who is your favorite Doctor/Companion? Mine is 11 and Rory. <3

You have an INFUSER! :)

Do not feel bad. I collect stuff related to my favorite band GWAR and also dragons...and I have an almost embarrassing amount of stuff. Collecting is fun!

I'm generally kind of hung up on whichever Doctor is current once I acclimate to him. It's like...they are new and I'm like "I don't think I like this one." A few weeks later, "OK, he's growing on me." By the end of the new Doctor's first season, I'm all attached. And then he goes away. Boo! Rinse, repeat.

But Capaldi came along just as I discovered how much I really, really like older men. Add shades and guitar...oh yeah.

I've always felt a bit "meh" about Clara, though. I like Rose best I think.

Another Whovian girl here. I have an infuser too, and a blanket, t-shirt, phone case, phone skin... uhm. I think that's it

I was a big fan of David Tennant, but Matt Smith was dear to me as well. I really like Rose's spunk, but the Amy and Rory story was fantastic, especially with River Song twist..

Game of Thrones is fantastic. I read the books before the show was around, and they're basically like two different stories, but both good in their own rights if you look at them as different works.

I'm watching Jekyll & Hyde right now. It reminds me a lot of Penny Dreadful, which I only started watching because Billie Piper is in it. Both are really good and worth watching.

Is this where I mention that I once met Tom Baker? :)

(The man is even more charming in real life, amazingly.)

Anyway hi and welcome. Feel free to post at any time before or after nine in the afternoon, right? And good luck in your journey.

I just want to say, your awesome. Panic at the disco, tea infuser and all.
I do not envy the mix of anxiety and depression though, i have gone through this with a close friend, multiple times, I emphasize with what you go through. There are good people on this sight, i doubt you will have a hard time making friend's. I look forward to learning more about you.
As for myself, Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant are my fav's, and Amy for a companion. I have not had the chance to watch the newest doctor though. Unfortunately i don't get a chance to watch too much tv lately.
I usually wouldn't say this too loud, but I'm netflixing the next generation currently.
Spork, Game of Throne's is great too, I had the ability to borrow all the season's out.
Welcome to the sight

I also have a phone case, I want a phone skin. My favorite episode was with Van Gogh. I have a canvas painting I got from Amazon that is Starry Night with the TARDIS on it. I adore it.

I did like David Tennant, but then Smith happened! I thought Rose was kind of stupid. That is an unpopular opinion, but she was always getting into trouble. I love the River Song twist as well. I have season 9 part 1, but haven't watched it yet.

I want to watch GOT, but I have children and not heard good things about the family friendliness of the show. Haha. What is Jekyll and Hyde about? Like, I know what it's about, but I didn't know there was a show.

GAAAAAASPPP!!! Where? When? I haven't seen any of the classic's, but I just know from snippets I've seen that I am going to love Tom Baker.

Thank you! Eccleston was fantastic! He was a great start to the new Who.
The next generation is what I have started with. I will probably be watching the original after I finish this one. Lol.

Yes wait until the kiddies are in bed to watch this. Idk how old your children are, but mine keep trying to sneak out after bed when I watch tv late. It makes watching show's like that difficult.

I saw him as part of his "Who on Earth is Tom Baker?" book tour in 1997 when I was still living in England. He signed a copy for me, and that became the Best Christmas Present Ever for a US Whovian friend.

Funny thing is that I had watched Doctor Who occasionally but never became a big fan until I met my current wife. I didn't know she was a Whovian too until she almost choked on her food when I mentioned Baker on my "authors I have met" list.

Greetings Christy,
Welcome to our forum. Please feel free to lurk, browse, etc.

Looks like you've already made several friends here. I hope you'll add me to the list! I don't know much about Dr. Who but I like the daleks. I very much like Star Trek TNG.

May your sojourn on Polyamory.com be a happy one. ;)
Sincerely,
Kevin T., "official greeter" :)

Oh yeah, she was a classic blonde bimbo stereotype, but she had spunk and I can respect that.

No, family friendly is probably about as far as you can get from GOT. Unless your family is friendly towards rape, murder, torture, slavery, debauchery of all kinds, and some good ol' incest for good measure.

Jekyll and Hyde is less about Jekyll and Hyde themselves, although he/they play an obviously important role... but it's basically a monster movie turned into a tv show. Could be really cheesy, what with the vampires and weird wrath things, but it's well executed with a good dose of British humour. The plot is a little weak I supposed, but it did hook me enough to keep watching.

Wow! I didn't realise that Canadians know how to spell things correctly, as well as being sane :):)

Been trying to work out how to build a TARDIS for years now. As far as I can tell it only works when you take a tab of acid first <joking>.

It's a bit hit-or-miss. Officially we follow British spellings but we've been thoroughly invaded by Americanese. I also put an "h" in yoghurt, although technically Canadian spelling follows American with yogurt. The one that bugs me the most is cheque vs check.

Interesting... I didn't know there was a British way to spell curb, which apparently is called a kerb on the island across the pond...

I painted this TARDIS painting for boyfriend ("The Analyst.") He's a big Who fan.

Love that artwork.
