Considering New Waters

Good morning all,

My name’s Rob. I’m a 37 year old dude that’s been married for the last 8 years to my partner of 13 years. We opened our relationship 4 years ago. Since then, I’ve been in a V-style polycule with my spouse and metamour.

My wife has long verb open to me seeking separate partners but I never have. Until now, that is…

I think it’s time that I try to step out and see if I’m able to find any other fulfilling relationships to add into my life.

You’ll probably see me around plenty of newbie questions because even though I’ve technically been in a poly relationship for a few years, this will be a big dynamic change for me.

Welcome. Yes it will be a new experience for both of you. It's harder for men than women to find partners so don't be discouraged. It will take time to find a quality partner.

It is just as hard for a woman as a man to find a "quality" partner. But women can find casual partners more easily. So don't get discouraged if women aren't beating down your door. Women just need to be discriminating, to find someone who just doesn't want to get laid and run (or worse). We learn to be cautious.

I've looked at your other (blog) thread, and responded there briefly. To summarize, you can improve your chances of finding someone to date by doing a variety of things, both IRL and online. I listed a few ideas, I hope that will help. I'm glad you could join us, good to have you onboard.
