No, marriage is definitely not required. You can even be single, or what we call "solo poly."Hi all, my question is do you have to be married to be in a polyamory relationship? Or can you just be boyfriend, girlfriend couple that wants to be polyamory?
Because it seems like most of the stuff I have read here, seems like married couples wanting to try polyamory or open marriage. So it got me thinking you must have to start out that wayNo, marriage is definitely not required. You can even be single, or what we call "solo poly."
Why would you wonder if you needed to be married to be polyamorous? Anyone can love more than one.
Ah, perhaps the majority of new people that come here are married or in committed one-on-one relationships, looking how to open up. But in fact, many people are single, especially younger ones, but also divorcees, or widows, etc.Because it seems like most of the stuff I have read here, seems like married couples wanting to try polyamory or open marriage. Thank you, I will look into them. I am really hoping to be more polyamory and enjoy many lovesAh, perhaps the majority of new people that come here are married or in committed one-on-one relationships, looking how to open up. I was newly single when I hit the poly-dating scene for real in 2008. I'd tried polyamory with my (ex) husband in 1999-2000, but it didn't work for us. I however, knew I was polyamorous, so when we separated, I only dated people who were okay with that love style.
