Long-time Lurker, First-time Poster

Greetings!

I (41M) have been into poly since I was a teen, but have never successfully implemented it in practice. I very rarely encounter other poly folks IRL, and the ones that I do interact with coincidentally only happen to be looking for cisgendered women to join their polycules. Nevertheless, I still hold out hope that I will eventually meet other nonmonogamous, open-minded individuals, but secretly I am afraid that age will catch up to me and I will be unfit for any sort of relationship. Looking for guidance and advice. Thanks!

I take it you're not cis-gendered. And you're afraid you're too old to find polyamorous, queer-friendly partners.

Welcome to our forum. Please feel free to continue to lurk, browse, etc.

Who knows, there may be a local poly group in your area, that meets for munches, presentations, or what have you. Google "ENM" and/or "polyamory" with the name of your state and/or nearest major city. And feel free to interact with the various members on Polyamory.com! It's not likely that any of us are local to you, but it is always nice to have online friends. Good luck!
