Hi there! My names Carmella. My husband Kody and I are new to the poly world. We enjoy riding four wheelers, camping, being out on the water and time with our kids. We are very comfortable in our relationship and would like to add another . We would like to find a bisexual woman to join us.. any suggestion on how to get started is greatly appreciated

Please see the resource thread that is a sticky at the top of the Poly Relationships Corner. I'd suggest you read the book Opening Up to begin with.

You won't be "adding a third to our relationship." You, the female partner, will have a relationship with this hypothetical women (unicorn), and Kody will have his own relationship with her. Maybe you (plural) will eventually find a woman you are both attracted to. Then she has to be attracted to both of you, more or less equally. Then you start dating, both as a threesome and as dyads.

you+her
her+Kody

Don't forget to keep dating Kody, too. Your old relationship has to die and a new one be created. You both run the risk of becoming infatuated with your new partner, and could start to forget to date each other, and start to neglect meeting each other's needs as you have been until now.

Triad relationships are the hardest way to do poly. It's much easier to each of you get your own partner. Sometimes unicorns only pretend to be into one member of a couple in order to get access to the partner they really want.

Greetings Carmella,
Welcome to our forum. Please feel free to lurk, browse, etc.

You seem like a nice person, I hope you and Kody can find the bisexual woman that is right for you. You can try dating apps/sites, there are some that are poly-friendly. But you should also get out there and meet people in real life. Maybe there's a class/club for a hobby you're interested in, maybe you'd even be interested in something off the beaten path, such as an indie concert, sci-fi con, or a Ren faire. Oh and try googling "Florida polyamory" and/or "polyamory" plus the name of the major city closest to you. There may be local poly groups with regular meetups and you could meet poly people that way and make friends. Good luck and I hope some of this helps!

Sincerely,
Kevin T., "official greeter" :)
