Sapio, Pan, and Demi

I know, an interesting trio of orientations to be in a triad, but it mostly works for my partners and I. I'm the Sapiosexual part of the group, call me J., the Pansexual member is K., who is also pregnant with our first child, and her wife L. is the Demisexual member, and at times can be "the Only Adult" in her opinion.

The three of us started broaching the subject of being a triad in July of '18, and made it official that Christmas Eve, though sometimes it feels like I'm still trying to prove myself. A year into it, I can't honestly say if it will be the same a year from now, but gods know I won't let it fall apart for a lack of trying.

Now for a little more detail on my girlfriends and I...

J: Self, Male, 27, almost 28, Sapiosexual, Forcibly Extroverted Introvert, Asatru

K: Amour, Female, 23, Pansexual, Extrovert, Nondenominationally Spiritual

L: Amour, Female, 23, almost 24, Demisexual, Introvert, Lapsed Christian

Greetings Drake,
Welcome to our forum. Please feel free to lurk, browse, etc.

You have an interesting combination in a triad, it sounds like you're dedicated to making it work and so far, so good. Any way polyamory.com can help, just let us know, have a look around, and post if you have any questions. It's great to have you onboard.

Sincerely,
Kevin T., "official greeter" :)

Notes:

There's a *lot* of good info in Golden Nuggets. Have a look!

Please read through the guidelines if you haven't already.

Note: You needn't read every reply to your posts, especially if someone posts in a disagreeable way. Given the size and scope of the site it's hard not to run into the occasional disagreeable person. Please contact the mods if you do (or if you see any spam), and you can block the person if you want.

If you have any questions about the board itself, please private-message a mod and they'll do their best to help.

Welcome aboard!

Hello and Welcome!

Glad to have you here.

I have found that many poly folk identify their sexuality diversely - as well as personality types, Myers-Briggs types (INTJ here), spiritual practices, etc. - so you all will find good company here. MrS and I are definitely in the sapiosexual category. MrS is probably a grey-Asexual. Dude is the most extroverted introvert I have ever met. We are all in the (little-a) agnostic/atheist category with some leanings toward a secular Buddhist philosophy. Dude and I come from protestant Christian backgrounds, while MrS's mother and grandparents were Eckist. (I had to look up Asatru.)

As Kevin said - look around, read, join in - I hope you find whatever you are seeking here.

Hi Drake, I hope you stick around. There aren't many successful triads in polyland. Best wishes on the pregnancy too.

In our Guidelines we ask that you choose nicknames for your partners and any other characters in your personal story. It makes your text much easier to read. So, I am sure most of us would prefer to think of you as Drake, not J. And your partners need names, not initials. Thanks!

Me, I'm sapiosexual and pansexual, and non-binary, using she/her pronouns. My own personal religion is based on gnosis, not belief, and I am neo-Pagan, borrowing from a few different spiritual practices.

It's interesting your very young lovers are already married and one is pregnant.

Hi and welcome. Love the title of your post. It has the makings of a good joke.

A Sapio, a Pan, and a Demi walk into a bar. The bartender asks what'll they have. The Demi orders their favorite cocktail. The Pan says to give them anything. The Sapio says they'll have to think about it.

Too corny?

Why, there's no such thing as "too" corny! Muahahaha!

Though I did hear this joke about paper once, and it was TEARable! And this other joke about pizza was just a bit cheesy.

Not bad, Vinsanity - that was good for a chuckle. :)

With apologies to the OP.

Yeah - lots of "outside the box" / nonconformist thinkers in general in the poly community. Lots of overlap with the kink community. Lots of sexual diversity in general. Lots of overlap with the pagan/wicca community - and off the beaten path spirituality in general - I'm Gnostic Christian (Platonic/demythologized). And like my fellow Heinlein fan, JaneQ, INTJ. Probably not so surprising that those who think outside the box in one area, would do the same in other areas also.
