Triad Gift Ideas?

Hey guys! Long time forum member, increasingly rare visitor here :rolleyes:

I had a question I thought maybe you would like to weigh in on.

I am in an exclusive triad with two women. I get little gifts for each of them fairly regularly, awesome boyfriend that I am. But I would like to get them both, and myself, something sort of symbolic. Nothing like rings...none of us want to go there. But I want us all to have something that is a symbol of the triad, and a reminder of one another. I got the idea, strangely enough, when I was making tea a few minutes ago...I have this heart shaped tea sieve, and I thought hey, how great would it be if we all had one of these? Like we were in a little club or something! Okay, that's kinda dorky...

But you get the idea! We should all have some kind of token to make us smile and think of one another. Any ideas?
 
What about those celtic knotted puzzle rings. 3 rings that slide together to make one perfect circle...:)..that could work well for a triad gift

Or the 4 ring one. Each ring represents a person, with the 4th ring representing the entire triad :)

Cool, but we're trying to avoid rings. One of us is in the process of getting divorced, and the other two are "sorta" engaged. By sorta I mean...we got engaged, but that was six years ago, and we have come to question the meaning of marriage in general, and haven't gone through with it yet, and might not. But when people ask, we still say that, and she does wear a ring I gave her to symbolize that. Really it's more just a symbol of commitment and love now, but she still has it. So we don't want any more rings involved.

You are very welcome! All I did was a quick Google search. There may even be other sites that carry stuff like that.

I have been thinking about getting something for MorningGlory and I. Her and my husband, 2rings, bought rings for each other. Him and I obviously have our wedding bands, he has a tat with my name on it and I have a tat that represents him and our two kids. I thought it would be fitting for her and I to have something since we are (a little more than) metamours.

BTW - I loved the triangle triad charms the best!

Because of commercial links posted in this thread. I know the intention was good, but I have locked the thread in order to discuss it with the other mods before editing. PLEEEZE do not post commercial links. Mention a company you like, sure, but don't link it. People are more than capable of copying the reference into a search bar and finding it for themselves.

While we do allow for links to other sites, that comes with the admonition that our boards are not a place for advertising commercial concerns. As mentioned above, a link to a favorite poly resource is acceptable in a discussion and we have threads dedicated to just such links. That sort of promotion is allowed, though if you are constantly pimping something by dropping a link to it into as many threads as you can, we'll have to rein you in. All other commercial links are forbidden.

The general prohibition on commercial links includes links in signature files. We immediately banish spam messages and the spammers that place them on the boards; we'll provide a warning to active members who place spam links in signature files. While we don't mind some promotion of useful resources for specifically poly-oriented material, we're not open to supporting advertising links in sig files.

There are two types of area on this site: the common areas of the boards and the personal areas of profiles. In short, if you must post a link to a commercial site, you can post it in your profile and nowhere else.

This site is not a venue for pushing goods or services, nor anything that appears to be pushing goods or services. If a link appears to be commercial in nature, it is not acceptable on the boards.

Sorry - I didn't realize that wasn't allowed. I was just trying to help a fellow out! I have no personal or professional investment in the companies I listed.

I simply did a Google search for "polyamory keychains," "polyamory charms," and "triad charms."

No worries- it's all sorted out. As I said to you all in PMs- this is the toughest rule to enforce and many times we mods get arguments about this rule because it's the norm to post links everywhere else. I truly appreciate the cooperation from all of you. It makes my day that you all responded with kindness instead of outrage. Makes the job much more pleasant when I don't feel like everybody thinks I'm the bad guy.

P.S. The charms are really cool! I will have to put charms on my list of things to make, as I work in precious metals and have been playing around with poly jewelry. (I feel I must add- PM me if you want to ask about my work- or I'll have to put the smackdown on myself!)
 
A friend of mine makes jewelry and I showed her the charms last night. She's going to start making some.

what a good idea to get gifts within your triad... I had never considered that for us... why not get something that signifies our family. After all, we are more than just a casual vee. We have become inseparable. Perhaps I will think on that more.... hmmm....
 
Engraved heart-shaped key chains with all three names on them? Would love to see the clerk's face when you ask for it to be engraved "Adam + Mary + Eve" :)
 
On the websites I listed - there were also charms for V's, quads, self-primary, and multiple relationships - - - pretty much something for everyone!

I like the engraved keychain idea too!

There's one pic of a necklace I gave Catfish for Christmas in my metalwork photos- I'll be sure to post pictures of anything else I make along poly lines. :)
 
Oh yes please rarechild! I would love that!

I am thinking along the lines of doing a ceramic piece for our new house at this point. Something that represents all of us and is protective at the same time. Oh how I love feeling that creative energy flowing! Lots to think about.
