Hi, its nice to be here. Beautiful forum!

I'm 'Kirbs', I'm 23(she/her). I don't know what the atmosphere is here yet surrounding anonymity but I'd like to keep mine if that's okay. That being said, I will share some details:

I'm in an open relationship and have been for about four years. Its my first official relationship.

My partner and I have been talking more about exploring different relationship dynamics and arrangements so we are trying to learn more about them. I figured this seemed like a pretty good place to find out more about polyamory and maybe get some questions answered, maybe even make some friends. So here I am. Thank you for having me!

Buongiorno and welcome!

Let us know what kind of questions you have and we will be happy to answer them.
Full anonymity is totally okay. If you feel more comfortable asking delicate questions in a private chat that is also a possibility. Reach out to a member and they'll try to help you there.

Others will come in here with some useful links/info and greetings.

Greetings kirbs,
Welcome to our forum. Please feel free to lurk, browse, etc.

You've come to the right place to learn about polyamory, explore our various threads and boards, and let us know if you have any questions. You can definitely make some friends here, just keep reading and posting and people will reach out to you. Glad to have you aboard!

Sincerely,
Kevin T., "official greeter" :)

Notes:

There's a *lot* of good info in Golden Nuggets. Have a look!

Please read through the guidelines if you haven't already.

Note: You needn't read every reply to your posts, especially if someone posts in a disagreeable way. Given the size and scope of the site it's hard not to run into the occasional disagreeable person. Please contact the mods if you do (or if you see any spam), and you can block the person if you want.

If you have any questions about the board itself, please private-message a mod and they'll do their best to help.

Welcome aboard!

Thank you for the response, as well!

I have a quick question about the etiquette on this forum if you don't mind: in the guidelines it says to search before making a new post, and that its okay to comment on an old thread. Is there any time limit to that? I have a rather niche question but found a board on it but its from 2015, will it just bump it so my comment gets attention?

I think it's okay to comment on an old thread, just acknowledge that you don't expect to get a response from the original poster (who probably isn't around anymore and hasn't been for a long time). Instead, you are posting a question for the general membership, a question that is relevant to that thread. If you make those clarifications, I don't think anyone will criticize you for it.

Welcome. Please do choose nicknames for your partner and anyone else you mention. Don't give out the name of your city, town, or any other identifying information. We all want to be anonymous here.

You can dig up an old thread on your topic, but it's perfectly okay to start a new thread in the Relationships section if you have a specific question, too.

Please see our resource list for more information about polyamory/ENM.
