Kevin's Hetero MFM Poly-Fi V

3:28 p.m., Wednesday the 11th

We had leftover casserole yesterday, plus a salad. After dinner we watched the Trump/Harris debate. I thought Harris held her own pretty well, overall things went much better than the recent Trump/Biden debate. I am certainly hoping that Harris will be our next President, but I am keeping my expectations in check as I remember what happened with Hillary Clinton in 2016.

1:38 p.m., Thursday the 12th

For dinner last night we had takeout from Chipotle -- one of my favorite places. I had a burrito just like I like it (white rice, pinto beans, veggies, no meat, hot salsa, cheese, guacamole). After dinner the three of us took the dogs for a walk. This is all I have to tell you for now.

3:44 p.m., Sunday the 15th

Snowbunny had to work late on Thursday. Things went south and she had to pull an all-nighter. So, they gave her (the rest of) Friday off. She and I went shopping, so that I would have supplies for the week in which she and Brother-Husband would be in Germany. Yesterday (Saturday), I got up early enough to join Brother-Husband, Snowbunny, and Sam on a road trip of sorts -- just visiting miscellaneous sites here in town. I had a really good time (and I think the others did too). Dinner last night was salad and shrimp. After dinner, Brother-Husband, Snowbunny, and I watched two more Breaking Bad episodes.

1:03 p.m., Monday the 16th

BH and SB did some cleaning house yesterday and some packing. I think they both work today and tomorrow, then they leave on Wednesday. For dinner last night we had Polish sausage and potatoes and carrots and kraut from the slow cooker. And I think SB said we'd have leftovers of that tonight.

6:30 p.m., Tuesday the 17th

Tonight we're probably going to have salad, and BLT sandwiches. I've been doing the jobs needed for while BH and SB are away, it certainly underlines how much they do every day (when they're not abroad). The dogs need a lot of attention (not that Rainee doesn't).

Their first flight takes off at 11:11 a.m. tomorrow, I think they have a layover in Georgia, then their flight to Germany takes off at something like 3:20 p.m. ... hopefully they'll be safe, and all will go well.

10:04 a.m., Wednesday the 18th

BH and SB left from this house at about 9:00 a.m. ... I am left to hold down the fort for the next week. As a token of appreciation, SB left me some alcohol. I am enjoying some Rumple Minze at the moment. And I won't have to do everything, Sam will stop by after work to play with the dogs. And we have a professional dog walker coming over once a day. So I'm not completely on my own. But I do have a lot to do, SB printed off a daily list for me, it fills a whole page.

12:05 p.m., Thursday the 19th

Things have gone smoothly so far, no glitches. As a bonus, Eddie has not gone pee pee on the doggie door (a bad habit he has picked up lately). The dogs were pretty sad when BH and SB were not there last night for them to sleep with, I felt bad for them. They can't sleep on my bed because my room is Rainee's safe space, there is a gate in my doorway with a gap Rainee can fit through but the dogs can't. Obviously the dogs can't know why BH and SB aren't here. I hope they will adjust okay to the change in circumstances for the next week.

1:23 p.m., Friday the 20th

Eddie went pee pee on the doggie door, but so far he hasn't done it again. I am trying to give him praise (and treats) for not doing it. That's all I have to tell you for the moment. Ginger has been a totally good girl, and it's the same with Rainee.

10:26 a.m., Saturday the 21st

Apparently 6:00 a.m. is Eddie's new standard time to go pee pee on the doggie door. I don't know what to do about that, getting mad at him doesn't seem to change his mind about it. I'm glad I've got some alcohol.

11:34 a.m., Sunday the 22nd

It's looking hopeful that Eddie won't pee pee on the doggie door, I have my fingers crossed. So far things have been going well today. For dinner I've had some things I picked out at the store, granola, Ramen noodles, Rice-a-Roni, plus I have a few canned soups. It's been nice, but it is a little awkward to eat by myself, I'll be glad when BH and SB get back. They seem to be having a good time (with SB's sister) in Germany.

11:35 a.m., Monday the 23rd

I'm not completely sure, but I strongly suspect that Eddie was a bad boy today, there was a small wet puddle in the doggie door well today. Just think, in a few days, BH and SB will be home, and then it won't be my problem anymore. I'll run out of alcohol, but I won't need it as much by then.

1:20 p.m., Tuesday the 24th

So actually BH and SB are already on their way home, they will get home late tonight. I might end up doing the early morning stuff for the pets one more time, but after that BH and SB will take over. I've certainly learned to appreciate all the work they do.

12:20 p.m., Wednesday the 25th

BH and SB got home last night safe and sound. I offered to do the pets' morning stuff (shortly after 5:00 a.m.) so BH and SB could sleep in. Since then, I have shifted the shoulder of that works back onto them, and I won't lie, I'm glad it's off my shoulders. They've been very appreciative of me taking care of the pets while they were away.

For dinner last night I made myself chili (canned) and a potato, plus cheese. It was really good. I don't know what we'll do for dinner tonight. BH and SB are both off today. I think BH goes back to work tomorrow. SB too. The dogs are certainly glad that they're back.

There's various chocolate candies on the cabinet by the TV. We might have a little of those here and there after dinner. There's a lot of good-looking stuff, I'm looking forward to it.

5:11 p.m., Thursday the 26th

SB had today off. I think she has tomorrow off too, but she has a couple of appointments (one for a massage, another for Ginger). SB and I went shopping today, at a vitamin/organic place, I think it's called Natural Grocer's. Before that we went to Lowe's, looking for a replacement light for my bathroom. Half of the old one burned out. I don't think I want another LED light to replace it, I'd rather have something that took normal bulbs.

We had takeout for dinner last night from a Thai place, it was okay but it wasn't all that, we probably won't go back there anytime soon. BH is ill (probably a cold), so SB is making her famous chicken soup tonight.

3:49 p.m., Friday the 27th

SB has been looking online for a replacement light for my bathroom. She found one that looks pretty good, I guess she'll have it shipped from Trade Winds Lighting. Earlier today she made BLT's for her and me (plant-based bacon). For dinner I think she's making pasta.

1:37 p.m., Saturday the 28th

As it turns out, we had the rest of the chicken noodle soup for dinner last night. BH got the largest portion of soup, while SB and I had small salads to go with ours. Today unfortunately, BH and SB are both sick. Hopefully I won't get what they have, my immune system is usually pretty strong so, knock on wood.

2:53 p.m., Sunday the 29th

So yesterday we had the pasta (some kind of healthy pasta -- whole wheat or somesuch), with meatballs (bison), and of course sauce (with mushrooms) and parmesan cheese. I ate alone in the dining room; BH and SB ate in the TV/living room. Not sure what we'll do for dinner today. Not much going on today, I think BH and SB are still sick.

4:50 p.m., Monday the 30th

We ended up having pizza (from Straight Up Pizza) for dinner last night. We all ate in the dining room, so maybe the quarantine has been lifted. I still think BH and SB are still sick though.

5:11 p.m., Tuesday the 1st

For dinner last night SB made us veggie burgers. They were pretty good, I think they were made with artichokes. Also we had tomatoes, including cherry tomatoes from our tiny garden. And we each had one sweet potato. I think SB might be done with being sick, but I don't think BH is out of the woods yet.

3:56 p.m., Wednesday the 2nd

SB made us some kind of sausage-and-veggie combo out of the oven for dinner yesterday. After dinner, we watched the second half of the vice-presidential debate (Vance versus Walz). It was nice that the two candidates were relatively civilized, they didn't interrupt each other or overuse their allotted time slots, they even agreed with each other on a couple of points. SB thought it was a little boring, but I thought it was refreshing.
