Nudist Couple Discovering Polyamory

Hi everyone!

We are a happily married couple based in Miami, Florida, M, 44, and F, 38. We are new to the poly community. We would love to get to know others and learn more about polyamory. We are a nudist family as well. Just here to explore all about polyamory and see if it is a right fit for us. Our biggest concern is how others entering our relationship would affect our two daughters. We are very open to exploring another woman or couple entering and being part of our relationship.

Welcome to our forum. Please feel free to lurk, browse, etc.

You are right to put your kids first, and to ask how they'd be affected by poly. There's a lot of threads on that topic, do a search for "kids" and for "children." It is my observation that when one has kids, it is usually best to be out as poly. In that way the kids won't have to be involved in keeping a secret. Also it bypasses sending the message that poly is something one wants to hide because one is ashamed of it. Another thing to consider is how involved your dating partners should be with your kids. Probably not very involved, unless it is someone you are going to be dating for a very long time.

I encourage you to dive in here, post and read on our various threads, and let us know if/whenever you have any questions. That's also a good way to get to know people here, and make new friends. In any case I'm glad to have you with us!

Hello and welcome.

I hear you're excited about exploring polyamory, but you have a couple of common misconceptions about it.

If you read around the board, and/or read some books such as Opening Up, you will see that the hardest way to start doing poly as a newly open couple is to attempt to "share" one woman, or try to get an equal quad going.

It might help if you read this one thread for starters.
