Hey there! You can call me Moss! :D They/them pronouns for me please!

I only found this site about 24 hours ago but I think it’s just the place I’ve been looking for! I’ve hardly been more than a passive observer to the poly community for nearly a decade now but due to recent developments in my life (which I’ll detail later in another thread) I feel now is a good time to stop lurking and start interacting xD

A bit about me- I’m 22, Australian, an art student about halfway through my undergrad degree, and very queer and neurodiverse! I was diagnosed with autism just a few years ago and I’m still trying to understand how that affects my life. As of writing this I’m trying to learn how autism affects the way I form relationships, which another reason I’m here! I hope I’ll find some similar experiences in other members.

I also identify as bisexual, aromantic, transmasculine and nonbinary. I was sad to see only male/female gender options signing up? I’m hoping I’ll see that change in my time here. :( I am not opposed to using he/him pronouns so I selected male for the time being, but please let it be known that that label does not fit me!

Some of my hobbies are making art (particularly featuring dragons, they’re one of my special interests), gardening, knitting, video & tabletop games, coding (though I’m quite entirely self taught and not far into it) and getting too invested in my current hyperfixation for my own good, whatever it may be! I am quite the nerd and love nothing more than to get really stuck into a new game or tv series with my friends!

Thanks for getting to know me if you read this far, I hope you have a great day! :D

The mod team is frustrated with the gender options too, believe me. We've notified the admins about it, but haven't gotten any results. Our apologies. (I'm non-binary too, although I use her/she.)

In our Dating section (not that we're a dating site), we've also requested an additional geographic location to indicate Australia, NZ and the Pacific Islands. We'll see what happens with that.

Welcome!

Greetings Moss,
Welcome to our forum. Please feel free to lurk, browse, etc.

I'm sorry Polyamory.com doesn't have a nonbinary option, I can only hope that changes someday. I am glad you didn't let that stop you from joining us, and I look forward to your future posts. You sound like a cool person. Carry on.

Sincerely,
Kevin T., "official greeter" :)

Notes:

There's a *lot* of good info in Golden Nuggets. Have a look!

Please read through the guidelines if you haven't already.

Note: You needn't read every reply to your posts, especially if someone posts in a disagreeable way. Given the size and scope of the site it's hard not to run into the occasional disagreeable person. Please contact the mods if you do (or if you see any spam), and you can block the person if you want.

If you have any questions about the board itself, please private-message a mod and they'll do their best to help.

Welcome aboard!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! :D

Yes, I also noticed that missing! I didn’t mention it since I definitely won’t be participating in that section so it doesn’t affect me, but it sure did strike me as odd :/

Hi Moss, I'm just over the ditch. Welcome to this little corner of the web.
