Hey everybody, I figured I should say hello here in the Introductions forum to re-introduce myself after a very long hiatus. So, yeah, I'm back. I first joined here as nycindie way back in 2010. For a good while, I was even a moderator here (mostly zapping spam). Before yesterday, the last post I made was in 2017. I have lurked here on and off since then, but when I decided to rejoin the fold and participate here again, I changed my handle to IndieSolo. I'm no longer in NYC, so I dropped that part of my username.
I experienced a few rough and traumatic years before moving out of the big city to a small New England town. I basically needed to clean the slate and start over. I came here because I was somewhat familiar with the area from past vacations, and I was acquainted with a few people here. Eventually I realized that town wasn't right for me, so I moved again about 18 months ago to a slightly larger town in a more populated area, and I am still getting to know my way around. There's a lot more to do here (and more opportunities to socialize) than where I was, which I appreciate very much. So, my relocation out of NYC has been mostly a very positive thing, but also a huge adjustment. I am currently not romantically involved with anyone, and only recently started to feel ready to slowly put myself out there to meet people and see if anything clicks. Some days I feel like I'm in a hurry to get things going, but most of the time I am cautious and feel the need to go very slowly.
Anyway, hi again, poly peeps!
