Green Tea KitKats are the best flavor

Hello! I am choosing to stay anonymous on here, in case I need to ask for advice about my partners (which I already have haha). I am, however, terrible at forums. I am in my early thirties, and don't understand how time flew to get me to that point.

That being said, I have three partners, who I will refer to as Skyler (spouse), Jenny (partner), and Nicole (girlfriend). I have known all of them for over a decade, with relationship lengths of 11, 3, and 5 years respectively. Skyler, Jenny, and I are a triad. Jenny has another partner, who has other partners, etc. Nicole and I are girlfriends. Nicole has other partners, who have another partner, etc. I have a fantastic polycule and I are good friends with all my metamours.

On the one hand I feel like I *just* got in to the world of poly... But not really at all, no, it's not new. I somehow still have new relationship energy with all my partners, but we've settled in to some routines too. My relationships haven't been magically perfect, but we always talk about things and come up with solutions, even if it takes a few days. Overall, I'm really happy. So my relationship advice to new poly peeps is that being yourself and allowing yourself to love who you do is truly wonderful.

By the way, milk tea KitKats are really good too.

Greetings KitCatBar,
Welcome to our forum. Please feel free to lurk, browse, etc.

We all have a lot to learn about poly, no matter how long we've been in it, we're all newbies in that respect. I read your other thread, and responded there briefly. To summarize, I think you need to talk to your therapist, make a list of things you're grateful for, and have a sit-down talk with each of your companions. I hope that helps.

I'll have to try green tea KitKats sometime!
Sincerely,
Kevin T., "official greeter" :)

There's a *lot* of good info in Golden Nuggets. Have a look!

Welcome, KitCatBar

I can't get green tea KitKat's in my country, but I'm intrigued.

Please don't mind Bariah's language use. He sometimes misses the mark as the humour doesn't always/often translate into text. Batchi, I'm guessing, is slang so new it's not even showing up in urban dictionary. So he may have made it up.

It's nice to have a more experienced polyamorist join the board. Welcome.

Thank you so much! Are the majority of people here newer then?

I feel like I will always have a lot to learn. I am lucky to have a good size polycule (11 of us) and a lot of support from metamours.

Unfortunately I think my partner's partner's monogamous husband is likely to divorce them... I think they should at least separate, but him not earning money and not being a citizen (most of the polycule is USA-located) makes things complicated. I think some people wanting kids who have not yet figured out a living situation may complicate things in the future, but they feel confident they can come to a solution

Other than that, other monogamous partners are supportive of their metamours, and honestly the only "arguments" we have are between live-ins over thing like who's going to take out the cat litter next 😂 "can you do it pleeeeease?" "*Sigh* okayyyy fine"

I can maybe share some growing pains later if it would help people!

Hahaha no worries! Everyone seems great here so far :)
I see you also are part of a hinge relationship - me too! If my girlfriend and I broke up it would be two polycules... But we both said we can't see that happening! Strong hinges horray!

Thank you for the welcome! I will mainly be lurking I think

Thank you for your advice on the other thread. I am so glad I ended up talking to my partners and everything went well. I am working on my self-esteem, and plan on changing insurance when I can, since once ever 1-2 months is not enough therapy sessions for me :(

Also thank you for letting me know I do not need to reply to each post. I don't want to let others down, but that kind of reassurance is nice, and I'll definitely do so if I get overwhelmed

Sounds good.

I'm super happy to hear that your talk with your partners went well. Hopefully you can also get the therapy situation worked out eventually.

My husband agrees that Green Tea KitKats are delicious - he has not had Milk Tea KitKats but is inclined to think that they would be delightful. (I predict a rise in our internet-fueled KitKat budget as of right STAT now!)

PS. He scored a mixed bag of Japanese flavored candies somewhere - some were good, some were weird, some were interesting, and some...did not suit my fancy. For other readers - there are subscription services where you can get curated boxes of seasonal foods from different cultures. We are frugal in most every area of our lives - but new taste sensations are NOT one of them.

We have a pretty large, smart, experienced and diverse group of regulars who tirelessly and from the goodness of their hearts dole out information, advice, support, tough love, etc. to the constant flow of confused and hurting newbies who discover this board.
