Kevin's Hetero MFM Poly-Fi V

6:32 p.m., Friday the 2nd

For dinner last night, Snowbunny brought us takeout from an Indian place. It was quite good, although a bit extra on the hot (spicy) side. Tonight I guess we're having leftovers. Brother-Husband is having (a) sloppy joe/s, I am having leftover Indian, Snowbunny might have Indian too, I'm not sure.

I played another bot game last night, as White against 400-point Filip. I won, but only after a really bad blunder where I lost a knight. I hope 400 isn't my new limit, but I guess we'll see. I don't think I'll have time for such Chess stuff tonight, plus it's Friday and we might watch something on TV.

2:28 p.m., Saturday the 3rd

We ended up watching a documentary about the making of the song/single "We Are the World." It was good, it really opened my eyes to the amount of work and dedication went into making that song. It's called "The Greatest Night in Pop." I would recommend it.

Dinner was as predicted, except that SB and BH both had sloppy joes (and I guess there was still enough for two more). I had most of the remainder of the Indian food, I was satisfied.

3:40 p.m., Sunday the 4th

Last night we (the three of us) watched "The Fifth Element." A rather absurd movie, but fun to watch just the same. Dinner was chicken (from the slow cooker) and odds and ends (some leftovers). I don't know what we'll have tonight. Tomorrow's Monday, so I don't think we'll watch anything on TV.

5:40 p.m., Monday the 5th

SB has left to go to a Barn Hunt practice -- I think she took both dogs -- which runs until 9:00 p.m. so she'll probably get home late and dinner might be late too. BH just got home; he's got his bathroom stuff to do (shower and whatnot) but after that it's possible he might pull dinner out of the slow cooker before SB gets home. Just kind of playing things by ear here.

Dinner last night was pasta with sauce and "impossible" meatballs. After dinner, SB and I went shopping. She's got an extremely busy week ahead, so she was trying to just squeeze me in somewhere.

5:04 p.m., Tuesday the 6th

Last night we just had some leftovers, along with some asparagus, it was all pretty good. I did another bot game, again versus Filip but this time I played as Black. I won -- right after losing one of my queens. Sigh. At the time I was in a hurry, I'd just been called to dinner, and well. I made that stupid mistake. I want to be able to win even when I'm in a hurry. I just hope 400 doesn't prove to be my limit.

1:00 p.m., Wednesday the 7th

BH and SB were out for quite a while yesterday. Two things they did were, one, picking up Ginger from a lengthy vet visit, and two, eating out together. It wasn't very special, I guess BH had an episode where he had to eat *right now* and he didn't care where. So they ate out (probably at a fast food joint). After they got home, SB went out and got me takeout -- huevos rancheros -- I think from Flying Star. It was pretty good. I think she picked up a prescription from somewhere, and got me a thing of guacamole. It was pretty good.

I'm tired of winter. Looking forward to some warmer weather.

3:40 p.m., Thursday the 8th

We had leftovers for dinner yesterday, plus potatoes. Ginger has a CGC class tonight and on the way back, SB said she'd pick up takeout for us. (fingers crossed)

I did a bot game yesterday, playing as White against 400-point Elani. I won by accidental checkmate -- something I had thought was just going to be check. That's like a fly in the ointment, it spoils the joy in winning. Now I had some consolation, in that Chess.com said I played a perfect game. No mistakes, no blunders, no missed wins. So I guess I don't know how I feel about that game. Overlooking checkmate has always been one of my biggest weaknesses.

2:39 p.m., Friday the 9th

I did another bot game yesterday, I was Black playing against Elani. I felt better about this game than I did the day before, even though Chess.com said I made mistakes and blunders. The one mistake I could see is the one that costed me a knight. But I still went on to win, after promoting a pawn to a second black queen.

SB brought us takeout, from Taco Cabana yet, my favorite takeout place. No idea what we'll eat tonight. SB has to work an extra night shift -- starting at 6:00 p.m. and prospectively ending at midnight.

4:21 p.m., Saturday the 10th

SB made quiche for her and BH. She knew I didn't like quiche, so she cooked a few eggs for me (over hard which is how I like 'em). Tonight we'll get takeout, probably from La Salita which is super close. Tomorrow, BH and SB will go on a road trip with our friend Sam. Sam will then have dinner with us at our house.

Not much else to tell you today.

3:53 p.m., Monday the 12th

Instead of La Salita, on Saturday, we opted for takeout from an Irish bar/grill, O'Douls if I remember the name right. The place was nice, and the takeout was really good. Then, yesterday, things went as I predicted. Plus, SB had mercy on me and bought me a bottle of Rumple Minze (and some other drinky-drinks). It's in the freezer right now. Now I just need opportunity to drink it. SB has a massage appointment in about an hour, so that might work.

4:11 p.m., Tuesday the 13th

We had leftovers yesterday for dinner -- from a roast and vegetables. I had some Rumple Minze, it was really good. Might have some more tomorrow. I don't know what we'll have for dinner tonight.

2:03 p.m., Wednesday the 14th

Eddie has an appointment, to get his updated shots, it's at 2:30 p.m. so I suppose SB will leave with him soon. Yes it is Valentine's, but I'm not much of a holiday celebrater so we probably won't do anything. Although BH and SB may get each other cards/flowers.

For dinner last night SB made "Greek chicken" (I guess Sam says it's not Greek and he should know; he's Greek), plus squash, sweet potatoes, and rolls/cornbread. For dessert, BH got us some paczkis. He said he was giving up pop for Lent.

4:03 p.m., Thursday the 15th

We went out for dinner last night -- a rare treat in my book. We went to that same Irish place -- I now think O'Neills is the correct spelling. I was totally pleased.

SB is gone right now with Ginger. Ginger is getting a checkup on her shoulder, and apparently some laser treatments. Eddie stayed home and has been pretty good other than his usual barking.

4:44 p.m., Friday the 16th

Ginger had a CGC class last night. On the way home from that, SB got us takeout for dinner from Jersey Mike's -- Philly cheesesteak sandwiches. It was quite tasty. Not sure what we'll eat tonight. Probably not takeout (alas). As we're going into the weekend, we might watch something tonight.

3:38 p.m., Saturday the 17th

We just had salad for dinner last night. After dinner, BH and I watched a Six Feet Under episode. Today, I think both dogs are having a Barn Hunt practice, and after that, SB and I will go shopping. I don't know whether we'll get takeout for dinner after that. I kind of hope so, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high.

2:23 p.m., Sunday the 18th

Better than takeout ... the three of us ate out together. At a place called Hanmi, Korean-Chinese Fusion -- it's real close to our house. Really good food, and a good amount. Pleasant atmosphere. I got the eggplant in a garlic sauce, plus a couple of sides. After dinner, SB and I dropped BH off at the house and then went shopping, at a nice Albertsons tucked away off of Tramway. Today, Eddie is at a hurdles (?) practice with SB. BH is watching some kind of sports show. Football?

3:43 p.m., Monday the 19th

SB cooked salmon for dinner last night, as well as sweet potatoes and a cucumber/tomato/onion salad. It was the end of the weekend, but before dinner, BH and I watched the first episode of a new miniseries (eight episodes), "The Fall of the House of Usher."

Today, SB and I went out and did some errands; it was nice to get out of the house. SB (and the dogs I presume) has Barn Hunt practice tonight, and I guess after that we'll have hot dogs (and veggies/hummus?) for dinner. Tomorrow I have a dental cleaning, boo but it does get me out of the house.

5:30 p.m., Wednesday the 21st

Dinner yesterday was microwaved burritos. Not my favorite, but not terrible. I don't know what dinner is tonight.

Not much to tell you today, I'm just trying to get caught up on some of my internet things.

5:26 p.m., Thursday the 22nd

SB cooked chicken for us last night, also she prepared squash and she made a special pasta dish, what she called "mac and cheese for adults." It was pretty good.

Right now, Ginger is at the vet. After the vet appointment, Ginger has her weekly CGC class. I think she has one more class next week, and when it's done, she will take her final exam. Fingers crossed ... Come on Ginger, pass that exam.

Rough estimate, SB (and Ginger) will get home at about 8:00 p.m. ... and I'm hoping SB will bring us some takeout for dinner.

3:20 p.m., Friday the 23rd

Yay! SB brought us takeout. From Flying Star, one of my favorite places. I got an egg salad sandwich, my go-to at that place. Plus a salad.

I don't know what we'll have tonight.
