Kevin's Hetero MFM Poly-Fi V

2:33 p.m., Friday the 16th

For dinner Snowbunny made us turkey and broccoli on a bed of mashed potatoes. It was a good meal, I think Brother-Husband liked it too. I don't know what we'll have tonight. Tacos maybe. Since it is not a work night, maybe we'll watch a Better Call Saul episode. This concludes my riport.

8:07 a.m., Saturday the 17th

Rather than tacos, SB made us crunchwraps, imitating Taco Bell. They were really good. I think tonight we are having a roast. Last night, instead of Better Call Saul, SB and I went grocery shopping. I was happy with this. I've gotten up early, so as to join BH, SB, and Stan on a local road trip. Old Town, and at least one thrift store. After that, Stan will join us here (in the "V house"), for dinner and a visit.

11:27 a.m., Sunday the 18th

The road trip wasn't actually all that local; we ended up going as far south as Belen. We stopped at the original Circle T in Belen for their green chili hamburgers for lunch, good stuff. In Old Town (Albuquerque), SB stopped at the Candy Lady to pick up some green chili fudge for her work trip this week. For dinner we had roast from the oven, the roast was too big for the slow cooker, SB got it at a place that supplies food for restaurants. For dessert SB had See's Candies chocolates for us, delicious. After dinner, BH and I watched a Stranger Things episode (while SB packed). That brings us up to today. SB is on her way to Washington State, hopefully she will have safe travels. This concludes my riport.

12:35 p.m., Monday the 19th

For dinner last night, BH heated up some leftovers, which was fine. I had leftover roast and veggies, he had some kind of creamy, turkey thing I think. We also watched two Stranger Things episodes, not sure whether we'll watch any tonight. For dinner BH will pick up pizza on his way home. Meantime I walked to our local Kelly Liquor, and bought some Rumple Minze with my Christmas money. It is cooling in the freezer right now. It will not freeze solid, due to the high alcohol content. This concludes my riport.

12:58 p.m., Tuesday the 20th

I'm having some Rumple Minze right now. It's mighty fine. It's mighty dandy. Last night BH brought us pizza from Little Caesars. After dinner we watched another Stranger Things episode. Only two or three episodes remain. After the episode, BH watched a hockey game. I turned in. Not sure what the plan is for tonight.

11:44 a.m., Wednesday the 21st

I know, right? That's what I think of too.

12:40 p.m., Thursday the 22nd

On Tuesday, we had leftovers. After which we watched a Stranger Things episode. Only one episode remains, and it is over two hours long, so BH scheduled it for tonight. Last night he watched a hockey game. For dinner he cooked up a bagged stir fry from the grocery store, it had pasta, chicken, broccoli, and a creamy sauce. Not bad. I don't know what the plan is for dinner tonight. At the moment, I am polishing off the "Rumpelstiltskin." This is all I have to tell you for now.

2:17 p.m., Friday the 23rd

We had microwave burritos for dinner last night, also we watched that final episode of Stranger Things. Not to post any spoilers, but the ending wasn't totally happy which was probably for the best, my comment at the time was that it wasn't too "marshmallowy." Overall I consider Stranger Things to be a worthwhile series, it has its corny moments but basically it has a solid story line. If you haven't seen it, give it a try (and just muscle through the first few episodes).

SB is supposed to fly home today, there is some bad weather on the horizon and I hope that doesn't interfere with her flights. (One flight to Los Angeles, then a second flight to Albuquerque.) I imagine BH will drive straight from work to the airport, I don't see him having time to pick me up. I don't know what we'll have for dinner. Takeout if I'm lucky. This concludes my riport.

12:51 p.m., Saturday the 24th

It's my pleasure to report that SB got home safe and sound. The only hitch is that she came down with some kind of a bug. She tested negative for Covid, so it is probably just a cold, but I don't know how long it will last. In the meantime, I got lucky and we had takeout (via DoorDash or maybe Grubhub), from Krung Thai, I had massaman curry (with tofu), SB had pho, BH had a noodle dish. I was pretty happy about the whole affair.

12:40 p.m., Sunday the 25th

SB was feeling pretty crappy yesterday, she was in bed for most of the day. BH made dinner, a stir fry from the freezer on the stove, and salmon with lots of seasonings of his own choosing. It was a good dinner. The salmon was a treat. SB wasn't up to watching anything, but BH and I watched a movie, "Sinners." It was a weird movie, sort of a "vampires meet the blues" type of a thing. But it was well done, had lots of good music in it. SB seems to be feeling slightly better today, and is up and about. Not sure whether we'll watch anything tonight.

12:32 p.m., Monday the 26th

We did watch something, namely another Better Call Saul episode. There's just three episodes left for us in the series, it'll be the second viewing of it for BH and me, for SB it's the first viewing. SB doesn't like it all that much, it moves too slow for her taste. She's a lot more particular about things than BH and me, she didn't care much for Breaking Bad either because Skyler was too shrill for her, she disliked El Camino because it jumped around too much and was confusing to her. She didn't like the X Files (the few episodes she saw) because each episode didn't have enough closure for her taste. There are some things she likes that I like. M*A*S*H. Law & Order. Fiddler on the Roof. She's just rather particular.

2:23 p.m., Tuesday the 27th

SB made us a meatloaf for dinner last night, plus broccoli, and each of us had a potato. BH had a hockey game to watch, so we didn't watch any episodes. I don't think there's hockey tonight, but it is a work night, so I guess we'll see. I think SB is going to make some kind of tofu dish. I'm not usually a tofu person, so I'll have some leftover meatloaf.

1:17 p.m., Wednesday the 28th

It sounds like we're going to do a road trip this Saturday with Stan. SB is somewhat torn over whether I should come along for the ride. She knows I want to, but she also hates to leave the pets alone for most of the day. If she insists I stay home, I will do it. After the road trip, Stan will probably join us here (at the V house) for dinner and a visit. This concludes my riport.

Since I'm new here, what's the joke behind "riport?"

12:47 p.m., Thursday the 29th

I had a friend who used to say "report" so it sounded like "riport." Mostly though it just sounds funny. Perhaps we could think of it as, I'm not just reporting, I'm *ripping* the headlines off the pages. :)

My accent (NZ) means I say "riport" :)

1:49 p.m., Friday the 30th

Well whenever I say riport, I'll think of the lands down under. ;)

7:25 a.m., Saturday the 31st

I got up early today so that I could go on a road trip with BH, SB, and Stan. SB has made a couple of extra nice dinners over the last couple of days, massaman curry and fajitas. Not sure what we'll have today, tuna/rice casserole perhaps. This concludes my riport.

3:30 p.m., Sunday the 1st

It was a great road trip, we went to see the remains of an old Civil War fort (Fort Union if I remember right). It was sort of in the vicinity of Las Vegas (New Mexico), we had a big lunch at a small restaurant in a small town nearby, so we didn't have dinner (although SB made me a small bologna sandwich). We got home somewhat late, especially for Stan who turns in early, so we dropped Stan off at his house and called it a day. Later on, BH, SB, and I watched a couple of stand-up comedy routines, that was fun. Today, in about half an hour, Stan will come over for dinner and a visit. It looks like we'll have salmon.
